 In the Fall 2025 semester, the Turtle Island team embarked on a comprehensive digital transformation—reimagining the client’s site from the ground up and crafting a cohesive brand kit to match. The project demanded equal parts strategy, creativity, and technical skill, and the team delivered a polished, modern identity that simply wouldn’t have been possible without the talent at hand.

Website Refresh

The website refresh focused on creating a more intuitive, visually engaging, and mission‑aligned digital experience. Using Squarespace, the team restructured key pages to better reflect the preserve’s hands‑on programs and introduced new features that streamline navigation and highlight opportunities for involvement. The redesign not only modernizes the site’s look and feel but also strengthens visibility, supports donor engagement, and ensures the organization’s story is communicated with clarity and impact.

Volunteer and Staff Testimonial Video

The volunteer and staff testimonial video captures the heart of Turtle Island Preserve through the voices of the people who know it best. Their stories highlight the impact of hands‑on learning, community, and connection to the land, offering an authentic glimpse into the preserve’s mission and daily life.

Photography Services

Olivia Bell, our photography and videography director, captured professional photos of the preserve. These images are featured throughout the website and will support Turtle Island’s future social media and marketing efforts. The final deliverable was a short, documentary-style interview highlighting the voices of volunteers alongside the founder, offering an authentic glimpse into life at Turtle Island Preserve. This mini-documentary is also showcased on the website.

Branding and Cohesion

The refreshed branding brings a unified visual language to every touchpoint, ensuring Turtle Island Preserve’s identity feels intentional. By aligning typography, color palettes, and design elements across the website and supporting materials, the team strengthened cohesion and created a seamless experience that reflects the organization’s mission and personality.

Working with Turtle Island Preserve was a deeply collaborative and grounding experience. Filming on‑site meant immersing ourselves in the rhythms of the preserve. We captured candid moments, listened to stories, and documented the authenticity that makes the space so special. The process reinforced the importance of intentional storytelling and meeting an organization where it is to honor both its history and its evolving needs. Overall, the project highlighted how meaningful partnerships and thoughtful creative work can amplify a mission in ways that feel both true and transformative.
