Alumni helping Second Story Media
BOONE, N.C. – Alumnus Alex Rivera and his friend Austin Comer visited Second Story Media in Spring 2019 to help them launch their agency.
“I love all the people at App and wanted to come back and help create something for and with those people,” said Alex.
Alex graduated from Appalachian State University in 2018 with a Creative Advertising major, and this semester he came back to help the students from the very program he graduated. Austin was homeschooled and graduated in 2016.
“I was excited to gaff the project because I have worked with Alex before and always have a great time collaborating,” said Comer.
They filmed and edited a recruitment video that is used to draw in new members and attract potential customers.
“The task was to come back and shoot something in a few hours that would give an fast paced and exciting feel to Second Story Media's launch,” said Alex.
Even though Alex is now working as a freelance DP and AC, he found it rewarding to help the students of Second Story Media create something to highlight the skills of the organization.
“Overall a really fun project to shoot and collaborate on with everyone involved," concluded Alex.
